1.    Paediatrics and Neonatal Nurses:

• Diploma in paediatrics and neonatal nursing
• Minimum 2 years in paediatrics and neonatal nursing
• Minimum of 3 years as a general nurse
• BLS,PALS

 2.  Accident & Emergency Nurses:

• Diploma in Accident and Emergency Nursing
• Minimum 2 years in A&E nursing
• Minimum of 3 years as a General nurse
• Knowledge of patient safety goals
• BLS, ACLS

3.    Dialysis Nurses:

• Diploma in Nephrology nursing
• Minimum 2 years in Dialysis nursing
• Minimum of 3years as a General nurse
• Knowledge of patient safety goals
• BLS, ACLS

4.    Cardiothoracic Nurses:

• Minimum 2 years in a Cardiac unit
• Diploma in Cardiothoracic nursing
• Minimum of 3years as a General nurse
• preferably 1 year in CCU environment

 5.   CCU Technicians:

• Minimum 2 years in a Cardiac unit
• Diploma in CCU
• preferably 1 year in CCU environment

6.    ICU Nurses:

• Minimum 2 years in ICU unit
• Diploma in ICU nursing
• Minimum of 3years as a General nurse
• Use of basic instruments and equipment ECG
• BLS, ACLS

7.    Echo Technician:

• Minimum 2 years in a Cardiac unit
• Minimum of 3years as a General nurse

8.    Perioperative Nurses-

• Diploma in perioperative nursing
• 2 years as a perioperative nurse
• Minimum of 3years as a general nurse
• Knowledge of standard infection control processes
• BLS, ACLS

9.    Quality Assurance Nurses (with a Public Health qualification)

• Bachelor degree in Nursing
• 2years as a Quality assurance nurse
• Minimum of 3years as a general nurse
• Knowledge of standard infection control processes
• BLS, ACLS

8.   Registered Nurses:

• Minimum of 2 years as a general nurse
• Knowledge of patient safety goals
• BLS, ACLS

9.   Nurse Midwives:

• Diploma in Midwifery nursing
• Minimum of 3 years as a General nurse and Midwife
• Knowledge of patient safety goals
• BLS, ACLS

10.   Cardiothoracic Nurses:

• Minimum 2 years in a Cardiac unit
• Diploma in Cardiothoracic nursing
• Minimum of 3years as a General nurse preferably 1 year in CCU environment
