The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria as part of its statutory activities, organizes a workshop biennially for prospective Examiners engaged in Nursing and Midwifery Professional Examinations in Nigeria.

 

Aim

The aim of the Examiners' Workshop is to update the knowledge and skills of current and prospective Council examiners on their roles and responsibilities in the conduct of professional examinations in nursing and midwifery. It is also to improve the skills of examiners to effectively assess candidates during internal/professional examinations in order to produce competent nurse/midwife practitioners.

 

Target Audience

• Provost/Directors/Lecturers in College of Nursing Sciences
• Coordinators/Lecturers in Post Basic/Post Graduate Nursing Programme
• Heads/Lecturers of Departments of Nursing Sciences in Nigerian Universities
• Clinical Instructors, Preceptors and Clinicians in Nursing Training Institutions and health Facilities.
• Desk Officers/Focal Persons (who are Nurses) responsible for indexing and examination in all nursing training institutions.

 

Workshop Theme: "Competency-Based Assessment: A Foundation for Effective Nursing and Midwifery Education and Practices"

Registration Workshop Fee:

1. Early Birds - Closed -N100,000.00
2. Late Birds - Ends 20th July, 2025 -N120,000.00
3. Onsite Payment - Starts 21st July, 2025 - N200,000.00

 

Workshop Date

Two Centre are to run concurrently each week. The batches are indicated below:

Batch I (21st -25th July, 2025) 

1. South-West (Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State)- AB Foundation Civic Centre, Nova Junction Adebayo Street Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State.
2. North-West (Kano, Kano State)- African Anchor Event Hall, F6 Ado Bayero Mall (Shoprite), Zoo Road Kano, Kano State.

 

Batch II (28th July - 1st August 2025)

1. South-East (Abakaliki, Ebonyi State)- Banquet Hall Re-Meritona Hotel and Suites Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, 41 Igweliga Avenue GRA New Layout Abakaliki
2. South-East (Gombe, Gombe State)- Linmana Event Centre, Tumfure, Gombe State.

 

Batch III (4th -8th August 2025)

1. South-South (Calabar, Cross Rivers State)- Event 45 Hall, 6 Douglass Avenue, State Housing, Calabar, Cross River State.
2. North-Central (Jos, Plateau State)- Crispan Hotel, Rayfield Road, Beside Airforce Base, Jos, Plateau State.
