Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Nutritionist / Quality Control Officer with offshore experience to oversee food quality, safety, and nutritional standards within the facility.

The ideal candidate will ensure all meals meet required health, safety, and nutritional guidelines while maintaining strict compliance with offshore regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and review meal menus to ensure balanced nutrition for personnel
  • Monitor food preparation processes to ensure quality and hygiene standards
  • Conduct regular inspections of kitchen and food storage areas
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HSE standards
  • Implement and monitor quality control procedures
  • Train kitchen staff on proper food handling and safety practices
  • Monitor food supplies and ensure proper storage conditions
  • Document and report quality issues, non-compliance, and corrective actions

Requirements

  • Degree in Nutrition, Food Science, Dietetics, or related field
  • Proven offshore experience in a similar role (mandatory)
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and quality control standards
  • Certification in food safety/HACCP is an advantage
  • Good understanding of HSE practices
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a remote and high-pressure environment
