Oando Energy Resources Nigeria Limited, in collaboration with the NEPL/OERNL Joint Venture, has officially launched the 2025/2026 Tertiary Scholarship Scheme as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative. This scholarship aims to support outstanding undergraduate students in Nigerian tertiary institutions by providing financial assistance to deserving candidates.  

 

Application and Examination Timeline  

The application process for the scholarship will commence on Thursday, March 27, 2025, and will close on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.  

Categories of Awards  

Applicants can apply for one of the following categories:  

 

• 1. Host Communities Merit Award – Exclusively for students who are indigenes of Oando Host Communities.  
• 2. National Merit Award – Open to students from Non-Host Communities who meet the eligibility criteria.  

 

Eligibility Criteria

• To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must:  
• Be full-time undergraduate students in a Nigerian tertiary institution.  
• Be certified 100-level students at the time of application.  

 

Who Is NOT Eligible to Apply?

• Students in **200-level and above.  
• Current beneficiaries of similar scholarships from other organizations.  
• Dependents of Oando PLC staff or its subsidiaries.  

 

Note: Only students from Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, and Imo States can apply for the Host Communities Merit Award. Additionally, only students pursuing Engineering, Geology, Geosciences, and Agricultural Sciences are eligible for the National Merit Award.  

 

Application Deadline  

Applications must be submitted by Wednesday, April 30, 2025.  

 

Aptitude Test Details

• The aptitude test will be conducted online.  
• Only shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate.  
• Applicants must score at least 50% to qualify for further consideration.  
• Test results will be published on notice boards at all designated locations.
