Duties

• Take detailed medical histories for all patients.
• Conduct routine eye examinations, Perform vision tests, including visual field tests and analyze results.
• Diagnose sight problems, such as nearsightedness or farsightedness, eye diseases such as glaucoma etc.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids.
• Provide pre and postoperative care to patients undergoing eye surgery.
• Recommend appropriate patient follow-up and care options.

Requirements

• Must posses a Doctor of Optometry Degree (O.D) from a reputable institution.
• Must possess a valid and current practitioner's license.
• Minimum of 1 year post-NYSC experience.
