Job Description

  • We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paediatrician to join our paediatric team at Redeemers Health Village.
  • The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality medical care to infants, children, and adolescents.
  • The role involves diagnosing and treating paediatric illnesses, conducting well-child visits, and promoting preventive healthcare measures to support the holistic well-being of our young patients.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive medical assessments and physical examinations of paediatric patients to diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, medical history, and diagnostic test results, ensuring optimal care and outcomes for paediatric patients.
  • Provide counselling and support to parents and guardians on child health, nutrition, growth and development, vaccination schedules, and injury prevention strategies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including paediatric nurses, nutritionists, social workers, and therapists, to deliver coordinated and holistic care to paediatric patients.
  • Perform procedures commonly performed in paediatric practice, such as immunizations, lumbar punctures, circumcisions, and minor surgical interventions, with proficiency and attention to safety.
  • Monitor paediatric patients' progress, response to treatment, and developmental milestones, and adjust management plans accordingly to promote optimal health and well-being.
  • Participate in on-call schedules and provide timely and effective management of paediatric emergencies and urgent care needs.
  • Engage in continuous medical education, professional development activities, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance paediatric clinical practice and patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Medical degree from a recognized institution
  • Board certification in Paediatrics or equivalent qualification
  • Valid medical license to practice in Nigeria
  • Fellowship training or extensive experience in paediatric medicine
