Description

  • We are looking to hire a smart, proactive, customer-focused, and sales-driven Pharmacy Sales Assistant to join its team.
  • The ideal candidate must be passionate about healthcare service, confident in sales, organised with inventory management, and able to support patients professionally.
  • This role requires someone who can combine excellent customer service with strong sales ability, pharmacy support, content writing, and proper follow-up with patients and customers.
  • Sales experience is a strong prerequisite for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Service:

  • Attend to customers professionally and warmly.
  • Promote and sell pharmacy products, wellness items, supplements, personal care products, and other approved healthcare products.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend suitable products where appropriate.
  • Support the pharmacy’s sales targets through active selling, upselling, cross-selling, and customer relationship management.
  • Provide accurate product information to customers within approved limits.
  • Ensure excellent customer experience from enquiry to purchase.
  • Handle customer complaints or concerns politely and escalate when necessary.
  • Maintain good relationships with walk-in customers, repeat customers, and corporate clients.

Patient Support & Follow-Up:

  • Support patients with basic guidance on product use, dosage reminders, refill reminders, and general wellness support under the supervision of the Pharmacist.
  • Follow up with customers after purchases where necessary to encourage adherence, refill, and continued care.
  • Maintain a patient/customer follow-up tracker.
  • Support chronic care patients with reminders for routine refills and wellness checks.
  • Ensure all patient-related information is handled with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Escalate health-related concerns to the Pharmacist immediately.

Inventory & Stock Management:

  • Assist in receiving, arranging, and monitoring stock.
  • Track inventory levels and notify management when products are low.
  • Support stock-taking, product counts, and reconciliation.
  • Monitor expiry dates and ensure proper stock rotation using FIFO/FEFO methods.
  • Ensure shelves are properly arranged, clean, labelled, and well stocked.
  • Report damaged, expired, or slow-moving products promptly.
  • Help maintain accurate sales, stock, and inventory records.

Pharmacy Support:

  • Assist the Pharmacist and pharmacy team in daily operations.
  • Support prescription processing under the supervision of the Pharmacist.
  • Package and label products appropriately as directed.
  • Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organised, and professional.
  • Follow all company policies, health standards, and pharmacy operating procedures.
  • Maintain professionalism when dealing with customers, patients, vendors, and team members.

Article & Health Content Writing:

  • Write engaging, and accurate health articles, wellness tips, product education posts, and customer awareness content.
  • Support the creation of health-related content for social media, newsletters, blogs, and customer education.
  • Research health topics and simplify them for everyday readers.
  • Ensure health content is reviewed and approved by the Pharmacist before publication.
  • Contribute creative ideas for health campaigns, product promotions, and awareness days.

Marketing & Business Growth Support:

  • Support pharmacy promotions, awareness campaigns, outreach activities, and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Assist with social media content ideas, captions, product highlights, and health education posts.
  • Encourage repeat purchases through excellent service and follow-up.
  • Help grow the pharmacy’s customer base through referrals, relationship building, and consistent customer care.
  • Support online and offline sales activities where required.
  • Requirements
  • The ideal candidate should have:

  • Minimum of B.Sc., or relevant qualification in Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Health, Science, Sales, or related fields
  • Previous experience in pharmacy retail, healthcare sales, pharmaceutical sales, customer service, or retail sales.
  • Strong sales ability is very important.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of medicines, supplements, wellness products, and personal care products.
  • Ability to write simple, clear, and engaging health-related articles or social media content.
  • Good inventory and stock management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good customer service attitude.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under the supervision of a Pharmacist.
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to use POS, inventory systems, Microsoft Office, or Google Workspace.
  • Must be honest, organised, proactive, and responsible.
  • Ability to multitask in a busy pharmacy environment.
  • Must be willing to learn and grow within the company.
