Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Pharmacy Technician to support the Pharmacist in dispensing medications, managing inventory, and ensuring smooth daily pharmacy operations.

The ideal candidate should possess good communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications to patients.
• Receive and process prescriptions accurately.
• Label and package medications appropriately.
• Maintain proper records of prescriptions and drug inventory.
• Monitor stock levels and notify the pharmacist of low or expired medications.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy.
• Attend to patient inquiries politely and professionally.
• Assist in procurement and storage of pharmaceutical supplies.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and safety standards.
• Support administrative duties within the pharmacy unit as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Pharmacy Technician studies from a recognized institution.
• Valid license / certification where applicable.
• Previous experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy is an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and medication handling.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work under supervision and in a team environment.
• Basic computer knowledge is an added advantage.
