We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Location: Dawaki, Abuja (FCT)

Job Description

Pharmacy technician supports the pharmacist in delivering safe, accurate, and efficient pharmaceutical services. Their responsibilities focus on medication preparation, inventory management, and customer support while working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Core Responsibilities

  • Assist in dispensing prescription medications as directed by the pharmacist
  • Prepare, label, and package medications accurately
  • Receive and verify prescriptions for completeness and clarity
  • Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and monitoring expiry dates
  • Maintain proper storage conditions for drugs and medical supplies
  • Keep accurate records of prescriptions, sales, and patient information
  • Handle billing, insurance claims, and POS transactions where applicable.

Patient & Customer Support:

  • Attend to customers professionally and courteously
  • Provide basic information on medication use, referring clinical questions to the pharmacist
  • Assist elderly or special-needs patients with medication refills and packaging
  • Support medication adherence programs (e.g., refill reminders).

Administrative & Operational Duties:

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy workspace
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety guidelines
  • Assist in audits and inspections by regulatory authorities
  • Support documentation for controlled substances and narcotics
  • Help with pharmacy software systems and electronic records.

Quality & Safety Support:

  • Report medication errors or discrepancies immediately
  • Assist in quality assurance and continuous improvement activities
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) strictly.

Salary

N50,000 - N100,000 per month.
