Description
- When troops get sick or injured, you get them moving in the right direction. A highly trained professional, you could deploy anywhere in the world.
- When troops get injured there’s a team of highly skilled medical personnel on hand to help them recover. As a Physiotherapist Officer, you use your expertise to treat and rehabilitate service personnel with musculoskeletal injuries. You also advise commanders on injuries and training. During operations, you may deploy anywhere in the world. You could work with a medical regiment or field hospital providing respiratory or critical care for wounded, injured or sick patients. The goal is to get our soldiers and officers fit and well so we have an active, capable Army.
- The Royal Army Medical Corps (RAMC) is responsible for maintaining the health of servicemen and women. The Corps is represented wherever British Soldiers are deployed, providing medical support to operations, exercises and adventurous training expeditions all over the world.

Entry Requirements
Age:
- From 17 years & 9 months to 33 years & 11 months
Qualifications:
- Fully qualified physiotherapist registered with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
- Postgraduate experience is preferred, but opportunities are available for newly qualified clinicians.
Basic physical fitness assessment:
Mid Thigh Pull 50kg
- Medicine Ball Throw 2.7m
- MSFT (beep test) level 5.8
Pay & Benefits
- You'll earn £33,183 during your year of training at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, before commissioning and becoming a Second Lieutenant, on £39,671 a year.
