Job Title: Qualified Nurse

Location: Mainland, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

 

Description

  • The Qualified Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients, ensuring clinical standards are met, maintaining accurate records, supporting physicians, and promoting patient health and safety.
  • The role requires strong clinical judgment, compassion, and adherence to professional and ethical standards

 

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on individual needs.
  • Monitor vital signs and overall patient condition, responding promptly to changes.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Provide wound care, injections, IV therapy, and other nursing procedures.
  • Ensure patient comfort, safety, hygiene, and emotional support.

 

Clinical Duties:

  • Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and emergencies.
  • Prepare and maintain sterile equipment required for medical procedures.
  • Carry out diagnostic tests such as urine tests, blood pressure monitoring, blood samples, etc.
  • Maintain accurate, updated patient records and documentation.

 

Health Education & Counseling:

  • Educate patients and their families on treatments, recovery processes, and health management.
  • Promote preventive healthcare practices (nutrition, hygiene, vaccination awareness).

 

Compliance & Safety:

  • Adhere strictly to medical protocols, nursing standards, and infection prevention guidelines.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Ensure proper disposal of medical waste according to safety standards.

 

Administrative Duties:

  • Assist with patient scheduling, admission, and discharge processes.
  • Maintain inventory of medical supplies and request replenishment when needed.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, trainings, and audits.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid practicing license.
  • 2 - 5 years clinical experience.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing procedures, clinical best practices, and medical terminology.
  • Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Compassionate, patient-focused, and detail-oriented.
  • Proficient in basic computer and documentation skills.

Salary

  • N150,000 - N200,000 / Month.
