Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiographer to join our team at Redeemers Health Village.

As a Radiographer, you will play a crucial role in our healthcare facility by operating imaging equipment to obtain diagnostic images for medical interpretation.

You will work closely with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely imaging services.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy, as per physician orders.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety protocols are followed.
  • Adjust imaging equipment settings to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure to patients.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to review imaging results and provide additional imaging as necessary for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including imaging procedures performed, patient histories, and other relevant information.
  • Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory guidelines related to radiation safety and patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to stay current with advancements in radiography techniques and equipment.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Radiography or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Valid license to practice as a Radiographer in Nigeria.
  • Proven experience working as a Radiographer in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in operating various imaging equipment, including X-ray machines, CT scanners, MRI machines, ultrasound machines, and fluoroscopy equipment.
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety protocols and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and maintaining patient confidentiality.
