Job Title: Radiographer

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

About the Role

• Delivers diagnostic imaging examinations safely and effectively, producing high-quality images and ensuring radiation safety and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging examinations across relevant imaging areas to professional standards, including correct patient preparation/positioning where applicable.
• Apply radiation-safety and quality-control standards in day-to-day practice.
• Maintain equipment readiness for own work and report faults promptly.
• Maintain accurate imaging records and support reporting/result workflows.

Required skills:

• Knowledge of radiographic technique and imaging across relevant modalities.
• Competence in patient positioning and image acquisition.
• Sound understanding of radiation protection and safety.
• Competent operation and basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment.
• Accurate record-keeping and competent use of imaging/RIS systems.

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Radiography / Medical Radiography (B.Rad / BSc Radiography) from a recognised institution, or an equivalent recognised radiography qualification. Completion of the required national  internship and NYSC, or a valid exemption where applicable.

Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of post-registration/post-internship experience in the relevant profession; newly registered practitioners may be considered.
• Post-registration experience in radiography practice.
• Clinical/technical competence appropriate to the role, exercised with appropriate supervision.

Nice to have:

• Postgraduate certification in a radiographic modality (e.g., CT, MRI, ultrasound) is an advantage.
• Experience in a multi-specialty hospital, corporate hospital network, HMO-facing health system, public-sector hospital, or large institutional healthcare environment.
• Certification in a radiographic modality is an advantage.
