Job Title: Registered Nurse / Midwife

Location: Ojodu Berger, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

 

Summary

We are inviting applications from qualified, competent, and highly motivated candidates to fill the position of Registered Nurse / Midwife in our hospital.

 

Job Description / Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, professional, and compassionate nursing care to patients.
  • Monitor patients’ condition and record vital signs accurately.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
  • Assist doctors during clinical procedures and ward rounds.
  • Provide antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to patients (for Midwives).
  • Assist in labour and delivery, including monitoring mother and baby.
  • Educate patients and relatives on treatment plans, medications, and home care.
  • Maintain proper nursing documentation and patient records.
  • Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention and control measures.
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the ward and nursing station.
  • Ensure proper use and handling of hospital equipment and supplies.
  • Participate in hospital trainings, meetings, and continuous professional development.
  • Work collaboratively with doctors, pharmacists, laboratory staff, and other healthcare workers.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.

 

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Registered Midwife (RM).
  • Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
  • Must possess a valid practicing license.
  • Minimum of 2 years hospital working experience
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be responsible, compassionate, and hardworking.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to high professional and ethical standards.

 

Additional Skills Required:

  • Good patient care and observation skills
  • Ability to handle emergency situations calmly
  • Basic knowledge of computer use for documentation
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
