The Dental Therapists Registration Board of Nigeria (DThRBN) is an Agency of the Federal Ministry of Health, (Established by Decree 81 of 1993, now CAP D. 7 LFN 2004) and the Statutory Regulatory Agency for Dental Therapists in Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Registrar / Chief Executive Officer

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Responsibilities

• The Registrar shall be the Head of the Secretariat and Chief Executive Officer of the Board.
• He/She shall be the Secretary to the Board and shall perform the duties of this office as stipulated in the Dental Therapists (Registration etc) Act, 2004.
• He/She shall be the Accounting Officer of the Board.
• He/She shall be accountable to the Board and the Minister of Health.

Requirements

• Candidates must possess a Higher National Diploma (HND) or its equivalent in a relevant field of study from an accredited Training Institution.
• Be a registered Dental Therapist and have a current practicing license.
• Have a minimum of twenty (20) years post-qualification experience.
• Possession of postgraduate qualifications in relevant fields will be an added advantage.
• The position is tenured, and those who will be sixty (60) years of age before the end of the first tenure need not apply.
• Administrative qualification and experience is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Information Communication Technology (ICT) will be an added advantage.
• Candidates must be mentally fit (attach evidence from a government-owned hospital).
• Candidates must be of proven good character and integrity with no criminal record.
• Evidence of medical research is an added advantage.

Salary and Conditions of Service

• Salary and conditions of service shall be in accordance with the Public Service Salary Structure for this category of officer and as may be contained in the DTHRBN Conditions of Service.

Tenure of Service

• The appointment is for a term of four (4) years in the first instance, and may be renewed for another term of four (4) years, subject to satisfactory performance and the discretion of the Government.
