Job Title: School Nurse

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Description

• We are seeking a compassionate and qualified School Nurse to join our team.
• The School Nurse will be responsible for providing healthcare services to students, promoting health education, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment within the school setting.

Responsibilities

• Assessing and treating minor illnesses and injuries among students and staff.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Maintaining accurate health records for all students.
• Developing and implementing health education programs for students, staff, and parents.
• Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and healthcare professionals to promote a healthy school environment.
• Responding to medical emergencies and providing appropriate care.
• Maintaining confidentiality of student health information.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW) certification.
• 1 - 2 years relevant work experience.
• Experience working in a school or pediatric healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and organized in emergency situations.
• Knowledge of current healthcare practices and regulations.
