Job Summary

  • Sayed Farms is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Laboratory Technician/Manager to join our team.
  • This individual will be responsible for overseeing laboratory operations, conducting tests on raw materials and finished feeds, and ensuring the quality control processes meet industry standards.
  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in feed mill operations and the use of advanced laboratory equipment, such as NIR testing machines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage laboratory operations, ensuring all tests are conducted accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform tests on raw materials and finished feeds to ensure product quality and compliance with company standards.
  • Operate and maintain NIR (Near-Infrared) testing machines and other lab equipment.
  • Analyze and document test results, providing feedback to the production and quality control teams.
  • Implement laboratory safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Train and supervise junior laboratory staff as necessary.
  • Keep up-to-date with advancements in laboratory technologies and feed mill quality standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • B.Sc / HND in Science Laboratory Technology or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in feed mill companies.
  • Proficiency in the use of NIR testing machines and other laboratory equipment.
  • Ability to conduct and interpret a variety of laboratory tests on raw materials and finished feeds.
  • Membership in relevant professional bodies is an added advantage.
