Job Summary

• Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Senior Lecturer in Nursing Science.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, student supervision, and contributing to the academic and professional development of the Department in line with University standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Nursing Science and related courses
• Supervise students’ research projects, dissertations, and clinical training
• Conduct impactful research and publish in reputable peer-reviewed journals
• Participate in curriculum development, academic advising, and departmental activities
• Support accreditation processes and ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards
• Engage in community service and professional development activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNSc) and a Master’s degree in Nursing Science or a related specialty
• Ph.D. in Nursing Science or a relevant field
• Minimum of 9–12 years teaching, research, and clinical experience in a University or recognized institution
• Evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals -
• Current registration and practicing license with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN)
• Demonstrated teaching ability, research competence, and strong interpersonal skills.

Additional Advantage:

• Evidence of postgraduate supervision experience
• Membership of relevant professional bodies and involvement in professional activities.
