Job Title: Senior Medical Officer

Location: Akure, Ondo

Employment Type: Full-time

 

Overview

• Our client is seeking to hire a Senior Medical Officer to lead and support our clinical team.
• The ideal candidate must be experienced, compassionate, and possess strong surgical skills, with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert medical care to patients across various clinical cases.
• Perform a wide range of surgical procedures confidently and independently.
• Lead and supervise junior medical officers and clinical staff.
• Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and emergency calls.
• Ensure adherence to medical protocols and health & safety standards.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical services and patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.

Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 6 years post-NYSC clinical experience, with at least 3years in a senior capacity.
• Surgical competence is essential – must be able to perform general and emergency surgeries.
• Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
• Current practicing license.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.

Preferred Attributes:

• Additional certifications or training in surgery will be an added advantage.
• Experience working in a private hospital setting.
