We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Nursing Officer

Ref No: IITA/P&C/NRS2026-006

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Contract: 3-year renewable contract  

 

Duties

  • Evaluate accurate vital signs.
  • Dress wound on routine and emergency basis.
  • Carry out eye lavage, ear syringing, and administration of parenteral medications.
  • Set up intravenous infusion as the need arises.
  • Administer all immunizations.
  • Assess Visual acuity using Snellen's chart.
  • Accompany very ill patients outside hospitals.
  • Perform incision and drainage of abscesses.
  • Suture minor wound lacerations.
  • Enter patients' attendance the company daily.
  • Wash autoclave and store instruments used in nursing care.

Requirements

  • BSc in Nursing / Bachelor of Nursing Science with any two (2) of the following: Diploma in Public / Occupational Health Nursing; Family Planning Certificate; Post Basic Diploma in Accident & Emergency Nursing; Post Basic Nursing Certificate in Theatre Techniques; Post Basic Nursing Certificate in Paediatric Nursing; Diploma in Nursing Science.
  • The ideal candidate must have four to five (4-5) years’ experience in at least (3) of the following areas; Post Basic Diploma in Accident and Emergency unit; Post Basic Nursing Certificate in Theatre Techniques; Post Basic Nursing Certificate in Paediatric Nursing; Outpatient Departments and Medical wards; Community Health Nursing.

Competencies:

The ideal candidate must:

  • Demonstrate strong organizational abilities and the capacity to work effectively under pressure.
  • Be proficient in basic laboratory procedures, including rapid malaria testing, urinalysis, and blood glucose measurement using a glucometer.
  • Be computer literate and able to use relevant applications effectively.
