Job Title: Sickbay Nurse

Locations: Lagos & Ogun

Job Overview

• The sickbay nurse will be responsible for providing basic healthcare services, first aid, and medical assistance to employees as needed during their work hours.
• This role requires the nurse to promote a safe and healthy work environment by conducting health assessments, administering first aid, and assisting with occupational health- related tasks.

Key Responsibilities
Medical Assessment:

• Conduct initial health assessments for employees reporting injuries, illnesses, or health concerns.
• Evaluate and triage cases todetermine the appropriate course of action, whether it be first aid treatment, referral to a medical facility, or follow-up care.

First Aid Emergency and Response:

• Provide immediate first aid and basic medical care to employees who sustain injuries or fall ill at the workplace.
• Assist in emergency response and evacuation procedures, if necessary.

Record Keeping:

• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for all employee encounters in compliance with privacy regulations.
• Document injuries, treatments, and follow-up care.

Health Promotion:

• Educate employees on preventive health measures, wellness programs, and safety protocols.
• Participate in health promotion activities such as vaccination campaigns and health awareness events.

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with the company's health and safety team, HR department, and external healthcare providers when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to occupational health. Represent the company to answer questions from the Health Agencies.

Inventory Management.

• Maintain and replenish medical supplies and equipment in the sickbay.

Qualifications / Experience

• A licensed Registered Nurse (RN).
• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience.
• Be hospitable, friendly, and possess an approachable demeanor.
• Possess good oral and written communication skills.
