Job Description
- We are seeking a skilled, accurate, and professional Sonologist to join our team at Ajegunle.
- The ideal candidate will perform high-quality ultrasound examinations, ensure accurate diagnostic imaging, and deliver excellent patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of ultrasound examinations (abdominal, obstetric, pelvic, soft tissue, and other relevant scans).
- Ensure proper patient preparation, positioning, and clear communication throughout the procedure.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment according to standard operating procedures.
- Capture high-quality images and provide preliminary findings to the reporting clinician.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and image archiving.
- Adhere strictly to radiation safety (where applicable), infection control, and patient confidentiality protocols.
- Collaborate with clinicians and other healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnosis.
- Ensure equipment cleanliness, basic troubleshooting, and timely reporting of technical issues.
- Contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement of imaging services.
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Radiography, Medical Imaging, Ultrasonography, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Valid practicing license/registration with the relevant professional regulatory body in Nigeria (e.g., RRBN).
- Previous experience as a Sonologist/Sonographer in a diagnostic center or hospital is preferred.
- NYSC certificate (completed) is an added advantage.
Requirements & Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of ultrasound techniques and modern sonography equipment.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and good hand-eye coordination.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Good organizational skills and ability to manage patient workflow efficiently.
- Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and continuous professional development.
