Job Title: Sonologist

Job Description

• We are seeking a skilled, accurate, and professional Sonologist to join our team at Ajegunle.
• The ideal candidate will perform high-quality ultrasound examinations, ensure accurate diagnostic imaging, and deliver excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of ultrasound examinations (abdominal, obstetric, pelvic, soft tissue, and other relevant scans).
• Ensure proper patient preparation, positioning, and clear communication throughout the procedure.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment according to standard operating procedures.
• Capture high-quality images and provide preliminary findings to the reporting clinician.
• Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and image archiving.
• Adhere strictly to radiation safety (where applicable), infection control, and patient confidentiality protocols.
• Collaborate with clinicians and other healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnosis.
• Ensure equipment cleanliness, basic troubleshooting, and timely reporting of technical issues.
• Contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement of imaging services.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Radiography, Medical Imaging, Ultrasonography, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Valid practicing license/registration with the relevant professional regulatory body in Nigeria (e.g., RRBN).
• Previous experience as a Sonologist/Sonographer in a diagnostic center or hospital is preferred.
• NYSC certificate (completed) is an added advantage.

Requirements & Skills:

• Strong technical knowledge of ultrasound techniques and modern sonography equipment.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and good hand-eye coordination.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage patient workflow efficiently.
• Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and continuous professional development.
