Job Title: State Team Leader

Location: Edo

Reports to: Deputy Chief of Party

 

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to serve as State Team Leader for our program in  Edo State.

The State Team Leader will provide overall leadership and strategic oversight for program implementation in Edo State.  

This includes managing key stakeholders, overseeing state-level financial and administrative operations, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality programmatic results.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a high level of emotional intelligence, enabling effective team and stakeholder engagement.  

The role is part of the Project Management Team and will report directly to the Deputy Chief of Party.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide state-level leadership and direction to ensure effective and efficient implementation of program activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, implementing partners, community-based organizations, and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee state-level financial management, ensuring compliance with organizational and donor policies.
  • Monitor program performance metrics and ensure the delivery of qualitativeand impactful services.
  • Support capacity building and mentoring of staff and local partners to improve program implementation.
  • Represent CCCRN in key technical and strategic meetings at the state level.

 

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Advanced Degree in Public Health, Health Management, or a related field.
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in a similar leadership or management role within a public health or development program
  • Proven experience working with donor-funded programs and government health systems at the state level.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams, budgets, and complex stakeholder relationships.
  • High emotional intelligence with excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
