Achieving Health Nigeria Initiative (AHNi) is an indigenous non-governmental organization that promotes socio-economic development by supporting a broad range of global health interventions, education and economic initiatives in Nigeria. AHNi is an allied organization to Family Health International (FHI360) with co-existing and mutually supportive interest in advancing the collective goals of the people and communities served. To strengthen our operations and interventions in the country, we are seeking qualified candidates for the position below:

Job Title: Technical Officer - Comprehensive HIV / TB Program

Location: Ikom, Cross River

Job Description

  • Will drive project implementation of prevention, care and treatment activities within the confines of Enhanced Site Management across supported facility and community settings in the Central Cluster, Ikom.
  • Provide technical and programmatic support to implement high quality comprehensive HIV/AIDS programs (ART, PMTCT, TB/HIV, RH/HIV, and HTS) and other services including direct service provision support at facility-level based on the ongoing HIV and TB surge in the State.
  • S/He will provide support to sites in the state, including interacting with site Program Managers, M&E focal points, M&E officers of SACA/SASCP, other Implementing Agencies and local research groups on needs and ensuring that these parties understand and can support these requirements.
  • S/He will work with others in the State Office and Local Implementing Partners to ensure that State monitoring and evaluation activities are appropriate and meet the donor and project’s M&E needs.

Minimum Recruitment Standards

  • MB.BS / MD / PHD or similar Degree with 3 to 5 years relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation with a sound understanding of HIV/AIDS with provision of PMTCT and anti-retroviral therapy (ART) in resource constrained settings.
  • Or MPH or MS/MA in relevant Degree with 2 to 3 years relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation with a sound understanding of HIV/AIDS with provision of PMTCT and anti-retroviral therapy (ART) in resource constrained settings.
  • Or BS / BA in Statistics, Pharmacy, Microbiology, Monitoring and Evaluation or in relevant Degree with 3 to 5 years relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation with a sound understanding of HIV/AIDS with provision of PMTCT and anti-retroviral therapy (ART) in resource constrained settings.
