The Yobe State Healthcare and Health-related Facilities Inspection and Monitoring Agency (YOHFIMA) has shut down five private health-related training and healthcare facilities in the state for operating illegally providing certificates and rendering clinical services.
The Executive Secretary of YOHFIMA, Dr Yusuf Bukar Ngamdu, disclosed this to newsmen in Damaturu, saying the affected facilities were Medical Career Guidance, Potiskum; North East Biotech Services Limited: Public Health Consultancy Services, Potiskum; Auxiliary International Health Sciences Academy, Nguru; Iqmi International Modern School Study Centre, Potiskum; Aminci Nursing Home and Maternity, Damaturu; and an unnamed radio-diagnostic center in Potiskum.
He advised the public, particularly patients, parents, guardians, and candidates, to stop patronizing such facilities in their interest.
