2016 will be the third ever UHC Day campaign and UHC Day events are taking place around the world. This 2016 event in Geneva has been organised by collaborating partners: International Health Partnership for UHC 2030, WHO, The World Bank Group, Save the Children, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and the Rockefeller Foundation.
This year’s event will coincide with the first UHC2030 meeting that will take place in Geneva on 12 and 13 December to bring different health system initiatives and partnerships together. As a result, this UHC Day event will be an opportunity for UHC champions to maintain and further strengthen political momentum of UHC, to open space for various initiatives and partnerships to agree on harmonized key messages, and to demand political action from leaders to invest in policies and health systems that reach every person and community based on need, not ability to pay
