Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong has commended the General Overseer of Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, for donating an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) equipment worth more than N70 million to Plateau Specialist Hospital, Jos.
He noted that the donation was the biggest private intervention in the hospital, adding that it would replace obsolete equipment the hospital was using.
Lalong said this in Jos during the presentation of brand new ICU equipment donated by General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye to the hospital.
“This gesture is the biggest private based-intervention to the hospital in recent time. The hospital is now better equipped to response to emergency and save families from agony of death caused by inefficient medical attention.
“The action of the Redeemed Christian Church of God has inspired my administration to remain committed to a promise to replace obsolete equipment in the hospital as well as purchase new ones to meet the health needs of the citizens,” he stated.
Lalong, who was represented by the deputy, Prof. Sunny Gwanle Tyoden, called on citizens in the country to partner with his administration to realize of the vision of driving the state out of the shackles of poverty, disease, injustice and corruption.
Pastor Adeboye who unveiled the life saving equipment, said people must not be sick before they die.
He noted that it was the determination of Redeemed Christian Church of God for people to be safe from untimely death and remain healthy to serve God.
“My prayer and desire for everyone is to accept Christ and serve Him in a healthy condition. The ICU equipment is to help the hospital in saving lives of people for them to serve God in truth and righteousness,” the man of God added.
Special Assistant for the General Overseer on Technical, Pastor Sunday Akande, said the ICU of Plateau Specialist Hospital, Jos, named Enoch and Folu Adeboye ICU Centre would attend to people from Plateau, Bauchi, Taraba, Gombe, Benue Kaduna and Nasarawa states.
“The choice of Plateau State Specialist Hospital, Jos, for this donation was done after a thorough research carried out by RCCG Plateau State. The location of the hospital is more central and in the heart of the city; making it central to all in Plateau and other neighboring states like Bauchi, Taraba, Gombe, Benue, Kaduna and Nasarawa,” he said.
