Nasarawa State Governor Umaru Al-Makura has inaugurated two lecture halls at the Federal University, Lafia and donated a newly constructed hospital to the institution.
Al-Makura, who spoke during the unveiling of the lecture rooms, reiterated his committed to the development of the education sector, in particular, FULafia.
He also pledged to construct a road in the university and fence its permanent site.
The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Muhammad Sanusi-Liman, said the Umaru Al-Makura Hall was named after the governor in recognition of his contributions to the university, adding that the hospital would serve as the university’s teaching hospital.
The Pro-Chancellor, FULafia, Emeritus Professor Munzali Jibril, was among those who witnessed the event among many other dignitaries that graced the events.
