Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria Directs Members To Ignore Threats From The FMOH

RE-JOHESU STRUGGLE, THREAT OF  SACK AND CALL FOR RECRUITMENT APPLICATIONS BY FEDERAL HEALTH INSTITUTIONS
 
The attentions of the NEOs have been drawn to a FMON circular Ref no DHS/166/T2/220; vide: Department of Hospital Services dated May 18, 2018. We therefore wish to inform and direct our members as follows: 
 
1 The AMLSS National leadership is fully committed to JOHESU and we shall continue to provide technical and financially support to ensure successful execution of this project.
 
2 We are proud of our members for remaining resolute, focused and committed to the struggle.
 
3 To state categorically and unequivocally the we shall resist using all legitimate means any outcome from government that will exacerbate the injuries already inflicted on our members in the past four decades.
 
4 We are using this Opportunity to direct all our members to abide with the directives of the National leadership of JOHESU and resist any temptation of sabotaging our efforts during and after this struggle.
 
5 Members are by this release directed not to apply for any job advertorials in health Institutions across the country during the period of the ongoing industrial action.
 
6 Branch chairmen of AMLSN should immediately call branch congresses and convey this directive to members.
 
7 Branch chairmen are further directed to immediately constitute a monitoring committee to ensure absolute compliance and a register of defaulters should be forwarded to the NEOs for necessary disciplinary action.
 
8 Please be assured of our eternal and continuous support/protection.
 
9 Grave consequences await our quest for equity, Justice and professional development if this divine and just struggle is abandoned now, let us continue to show solidarity, remain focused and united.
 
We shall see victory at the end of this journey.
