As part of its corporate social responsibility to the health sector, Avery Nigeria Limited donated a digital weighing scale to the General Hospital, Odan in Lagos recently.
According to the Managing Director of the company, Mrs Ebisan Onyema, the donation was a proof that Avery would continue to support the government of Nigeria.
Onyema made this known on Tuesday in a statement sent to The PUNCH where she disclosed that Avery and SOFI had in the past distributed exercise books to some primary and secondary schools in the state and dewormed over 1,500 children and adults in Makoko community.
The company also paid a visit to orphanages where cartons of food items and toiletries were donated.
It called on public and private establishments to assist the government.
