Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State has assured student nurses of the state College of Health Technology that if they graduated with flying colours at the end of their studies, he would give them automatic employment. Gov Ayade, at the matriculation of 723 new students at the College of Health Technology, said he would soon give formal employment to 1000 new health workers in the state following completion of their screening and interview.
Speaking Dr Betta Edu, the Director General of the State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, congratulated the students for making it into one of the best colleges of health tech in Nigeria. She asked the students to shun social vices that could jeopardize their stay.
The Provost of the College Dr Janet Adah in her speech said the college has achieved so much and this is due to the enabling environment and the resourceful support from the state government.
