Bauchi State Primary Health Care Development Agency (BSHCDA) has received a donation of scanning machines to some healthcare centers in the state.
Forty-five scanning machines were donated to the BSPHCDA for distribution to the healthcare centers across the state to reduce pregnancy related complications.
The machines were donated by a Non-governmental Organization(NGO) named GE healthcare supported by USAID to reduce pregnancy related complications. They were presented to BSPHCDA Wednesday by the State coordinator, National Primary Healthcare Development Agency (NPHCDA) in Bauchi, Bashir Mai Dabino.
Handing over the equipment so to the state,the State Coordinator, Maidabino said that the equipment would help improve maternal health in the state.
Receiving the equipments, Executive Secretary of the BSPHCDA, Pharmacist Adamu Gamawa commended the donors for the gesture and ensure that the machines will be judicious utilised by the healthcare facilities.
"The training of midwives will be in batches, we just concluded that of the first batch with 12 participants. The machine will contribute immensely to maternal health issues in our PHCs," he said.
