The Best Graduating Nursing Student at Delta State University Abraka DELSU has been rewarded with N50,000 courtesy of the Nursingworld Foundation Award for Best graduating Nursing student
Nurse Emmanuel Folawumi who emerged the best graduating Nursing student with a CGPA of 4.17 bagged the cash award of N50,000 after a strong recommendation for this prestigious award by the Ag HOD Nursing Delsu Mrs Mukoro Ufuomaoghene.
In her email to Nursingworld Nigeria, the Ag HOD on behalf of the department of Nursing science and the university management noted that Mr Emmanuel is of good character, highly dependable and hardworking with his ability for self study and tenacity to excel showing in all his courses.
You would recall that in its bid to promote academic excellence amongst nurses, Nursingworld Nigeria instituted the Award for Best graduating student in Nursing at the University level.
The award would provide recognition for outstanding academic performance as it aims at creating a healthy competition for excellence among nursing graduates.
Heads of Departments are enjoined to nominate and recommend outstanding students for this award with evidence of academic performance via email to [email protected]. Upon successful nomination, the award would be presented at the Induction ceremony of the graduating nurses
