Activities at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital (UATH) in the early hour of Monday were grounded as contract staff protested non-payment of their six month salaries.
The aggrieved workers block the main gate leading into the hospital demanding for their unpaid salaries.
Some of the workers, Joy Ukele, Sani Aliyu and Mercy Adejoh while anwering questions from The AUTHORITY, said all their complaints to the management have yeilded no result.
The visibly aggrieved workers comprises of cleaners, security and porters from the entire hospital.
Most of the protesters carried placards with different inscriptions, "pay us our money, are we not Nigerians, some of us are widows, our children are out of school"
The development built heavy gridlock on Gwagwalada Dobi, connencting the hospital with the main town as both doctors and patients were stranded outside
