BSUTH JOHESU Congress Resolutions That Led To Strike Action Suspension

Resolutions reached by the general congress as contained in the attached documents led to the suspension of her strike action with a final ultimatum given up to the 31st of August 2017.
 
RESOLUTIONS OF JOHESU CONGRESS HELD ON MONDAY 5TH JUNE, 2017. 
The above subject matter refers, we have been mandated by the Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU) BSUTH chapter congress to convey their resolutions to Management. The Congress expressed deep appreciation to his excellency for the release of twenty three million, four hundred and sixty eight thousand, three hundred and twenty seven Naira, twenty two kobo (N23,468,32, 22) only for the implementation of the 2016 Promotions, Doctors skipping and electricity bills and hoped it will be sustained. 
 
The Congess took a critical analysis of the promises made by the board to liase with the Government to accelerate the fulfilment of the other requests made by the Unions and resolved as follows
 
1. That the Congress has graciously agreed to suspend the indefinite strike earlier resumed on the 25th May, 2017 with effect from Tuesday 6th,June 2017 by 7.00am
 
2. That the Government should implement holistically the report of the Adhoc Committee earlier set up by it especially in the following areas:
 
. That Government should increase the funding of the hospital from monthly subvention of N133,7M to N208M to enable the hospital function optimally.
. Acquire two units of 1,000KVA generators to take care of the power needs of the hospital as well as undertake a comprehensive turn around maintenance of the old ones 
. Complete the reticulation work of the hospital to ensure water supply is improved and construct the 200,100cm storage tank to stabilize the water needs of the hospital 
. Rehabilitate the decayed infrastructures especially buildings and furniture immediately. 
. That all cases of placement be resolved urgently to boost the morale of staff. 
. That all pending promotions be effected with cash back up to avoid the experience of the past. 
. Drugs and working tools should be provided without further delay. 
. Monthly salaries of staff of BSUTH should not exceed 30th of each month. 
. The 15 months promotion arrears of N76,274,469.15 should be paid between now and August 31st, 2017.
That failure to provide all these demands on or before 31st August, 2017, the Unions will not goe any other ultimatum but resume its suspended strike without any option of negotiation until all the pending issues will be provided to the letter.
