Buhari: Effective Healthcare Remains Our Top Priority

President Muhammadu Buhari has said that effective and efficient healthcare delivery system at the grassroots remains a top priority of his government.
 
The president said this during a free diabetes and hypertension treatment for residents, organized by the Sultan Hospital, Kaduna.
 
Represented by the Minister of Interior, Lt Gen. Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau (rtd), the president said his administration was determined to take his administration's good health programmes to the grassroots.
 
While thanking the management of the hospital, headed by Dr Tasiu Ibrahim, for organizing the event, he said such free medical programmes would provide quality healthcare to the poor masses.
 
Chairman of the occasion, Prof Bakari Girei, a professor of endocrinology at the Department of Internal Medicine, ABU, Zaria, said the free medical treatment would go a long way to help patients with the two ailments. 
 
Dr Tasiu said the free medical treatment was part of his contributions to the Buhari-led administration in view of the giant strides the president was making in different sectors.
