The 8th of November, marks a great day in the lives of Radiographers. A groundbreaking world record discovery of xray was made by Sir Wilhem Conrad Roentgen in 1895 in his discreet laboratory in Germany.

From then, Radiography has evolved to include the application into LIVING(MEDICAL) and NON LIVING(INDUSTRIAL) things.

As both medical and industrial radiographers uses these xrays, gamma rays, soundwaves, radioisotopes, electromagnetic waves, thermal waves etc to view inside bodies including humans (medical), animals (veterinary), non living objects-detection of crude oil deposits-pipeline leakage-precious metals (INDUSTRIAL), Legal (FORENSIC) investigations, also to detect diseases (PATHOLOGY), Overaged Athletes, hidden items, fake art works.

To manage infertility, breast cancer screening (GYNAECOLOGY), Surgery (IMAGE GUIDED NEUROSURGERY, CARDIOLOGY, FNAC etc), Dentistry, evidence of trauma, abuse, identification of death bodies in mass casualties, fetal wellbeing (SONOGRAPHY)-pathologies.

In the treatment of tumours-cancers (RADIOTHERAPY) and also for sterilization of both living and non living things.

It is of paramount importance to visit a professional MEDICAL RADIOGRAPHY and RADIATION THERAPIST for your diagnostic and oncological treatment needs as these RAYS CAN MAKE or MAR your life if misused (underused or overused).
