The Kaduna State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Hafsat Muhammad Baba over the weekend donated free delivery kits to 200 pregnant women in commemoration of International World Health Day.
The delivery kits contained razor blades, sanitary pads, diapers, hand gloves, among others. Speaking while donating the kits at the Womenhood Foundation head office in Kaduna; she urged religious and traditional rulers in the state to sensitize husbands in their domain on the need to support and allow their pregnant wives go for ante-natal care.
She also commended the founder of the Foundation for her humanitarian service to the community.
Earlier in her remark, the matron of the Foundation, Hajiya Maryam Abubakar said ante-natal care helped doctors and other health workers to know how to manage pregnancy-related complications.
