Vacancies currently exist for Licensed Cardiologist(s) for the following position(s):

JOB DESCRIPTION:

1.      CONSULTANT CARDIOLOGIST(S) (FULL TIME)

 

JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

The Consultant Cardiologist(s) with relevant working experience.

Candidate should be computer proficient and have a sound relevant knowledge in general of cardiovascular medicine, valuable sympathetic bedside manners, excellent communication skills with both parents, strong active listening skills and advanced problem solving abilities while being able to work in a team. Excellent use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is compulsory. Being able to operate a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory will be an added advantage

 

JOB SUMMARY:

- Must be able to creatively/correctly diagnose and treat all cardiology cases presented

- Medical care of inpatients including (but not limited to) severe cases of cardiovascular disorders

- Design a good exercise regimen to help in quick recovery and make the heart stronger

- Provision of quality counsel and education to all cardiology patients on how to minimise the impact of a disease condition on health in line with world best practices

- Maintain a detailed report on each patient and also a report on their progress

- Participation in Clinical/audit governance of assigned Medical Officers

- Conduct research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes as well as Weekly Academic Learning activities limited to scope of practice
