All Medical Laboratory Scientists, Medical Laboratory Technologists, Medical Laboratory Technicians and Laboratory Assistants under the employ of the ministry of health at the cross river state government have been notified to submit up to date evidence of valid registration with the Medical laboratory science council of Nigeria.

 

In a memo obtained by a medicalworld Nigeria correspondent, Dr Kenneth Takim Ag Director of Medical services noted that: Sequel to the directives as contained in the rules and regulations of FGN Official gazette No. 99 Cap 56 Rules 8 and 9 of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria 2014 as amended, you are by this notice requested to submit up to date evidence of your annual renewal/practicing certificate with the council to the Ministry of Health, Calabar on or before 30th of November, 2016. 

 

Also, all Laboratory Technologists are to ensure they are registered with NISLT in accordance with Cap 56 Part A rules 3, 4 and 5, 2014 and photocopies of verifiable evidence of registration/renewal forwarded to my office on or before the aforesaid date to enable the creation of a data base that would guarantee efficient and effective health care service delivery to the people of our great state. 

 

The above directive must be taken very seriously by all concerned, failing which we will be compelled to recommend to the council for appropriate sanction. 

 

Treat as very important as failure to comply will attract unpleasant consequences please.
