Dr. Saliu Oseni, Chairman, Medical Guild, the Association of Lagos State Government employed medical doctors has called on members to march forward, as crises experienced in the past was as a result of leadership.

According to him, "the crises in the health sector has to do with leadership, we need to define the relationship of health providers, to render better services in the sector," because the patients want the best.

He, therefore, appealed to his colleaugues to embrace professionalism in their jobs, and each should be law abiding. He said that It is not an offence for a doctor to crave to improve himself or herself, in doing this the health care sector will automatically improve.

He also mentioned that the association should respect division of labour within the health sector but ensure that the patient is catered for adequately. " In health care, a doctor is trained to coordinate things and ensure that things are properly done.. The patient suffers when things are not properly done," he said.
