EKITI State Governor, Dr kayode Fayemi, has advocated synergy among institutions in the state – Federal Teaching hospital, Ido Ekiti, and Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti, for more efficient health care delivery.

Fayemi, who spoke in Ado Ekiti while receiving the members of the Governing Board of FETHI, led by the Board Chairman, Mohammed Abubakar Zukababa, who paid him a courtesy visit, directed the Commissioner of health, Dr Mojisola Yayakolade, to start a process that will determine how collaboration in the health sector could become a reality.

Fayemi, who lauded the presence of consultants from different fields in FETHI, said, “There could be working agreement between the state and FETHI for their assistance in the delivery of health services to the grass roots through various health centres within the state.

“The surgical breakthrough recently celebrated at ABUAD by medical personnel should be a continuous exercise if there is collaboration among the state government, FETHI and ABUAD,” the governor said.
