The Federal Ministry Of Labour and Productivity is schedulled to meet with the executives of the Joint Health Sector Unions after the unions warning strike.

In a letter addressed to the Chairman Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU) dated 27th June 2016 and titled RE: RESUMPTION OF STRIKE FINAL ULTIMATUM FORWARDING OF THE CONCLUSIONS OF MEETING HELD ON WITH JOHESU LEADERSHIP ON JUNE 20 AND 21, 2016 AT THE CONFERENCE ROOM OF THE FEDERAL MINISTRY OF LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT and signed by the Director of the Department of Trade Union Services and Industrial Relation for the Honorable Minister Mrs C. C. Dike.

The memo states:

"I am further directed to remind you of the adjourned meeting which will hold on Thursday, June 30, 2016 by 10.00 am at the Conference room of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment."

"Please accept the best regards of the Honourable Minister."

You would recall that JOHESU had last week   directed its members to embark on a 7 day warning strike action after the last meeting between the union and the Federal Government fell through and the Health workers under the aegis of the Joint Health Sector Union (JOHESU) have refused to start fresh negotiations with the Federal Government even as they vowed to continue with their warning strike to embark on indefinite strike if the President Muhammad Buhari cabinet fails to implement the signed agreement the Union reached with the past administration.
