The Association of Health Records Practitioners of Nigeria AHRPN has called on the Federal Government to constitute a governing board for the Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria (HRORBN).
Briefing newsmen yesterday in Abuja, National President of the association, Barrister Nwani Jerry said constituting a board would ensure effective running of theorganisation.
He, however, commended the Federal Ministry of Health for reappointing the Registrar of the board, Alhaji Mohammed Ibrahim Mami, fora second term.
Besides, the association called on the government to recruit health record professionals into the Department of Planning, Research and Statistics of the Federal Ministry of Health as poor engagement has led to unreliable data in the country.
