The Technical Officer, Laboratory Q1 & Special Projects will liaise with 'the Senior Technical Officer to provide technical support on HIV serology Rapid Testing Quality Improvement Initiative (HIV RT 011 Project and other laboratory Special projects for FHI360 Nigeria programs. 
 
Minimum Recruitment Standards: 
  1. BMLS in Laboratory sciences or related field with 8-10 years post national youth service experience in provision of laboratory support for HIV/AIDS. 
  2. Evidence of certification 1 trainings in Laboratory Quality Management System (international certification will be an added advantage) 
  3. Knowledge of advanced laboratory procedures, diagnosis and management related to HIV/AIDS care and treatment is required with some experience in an international development area preferred. 
  4. Knowledge of proficiency testing implementation and administration including PT data management. 
  5. Knowledge of laboratory data management, use of data management software including excel and other advanced programs. 
  6. Proficient in Microsoft office applications ( MS word, Excel, power point etc) 
  7. Knowledge of laboratory audit using a simple checklist (e.g WHO AFRO SLIPTA checklist IISO 15189 checklist) as well as preparation of audit report. 
  8. Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health system and NGOs and CBOs highly desirable. 
 
The Assistant Technical Officer. Laboratory & M&E Services. will liaise with the Technical Officer, Lab QI & Special Projects to provide technical support on HIV serology Rapid Testing Quality Improvement Initiative (RT QII Project) in Akwa Ibom state and other faboratory services for FHI Nigeria programs.

  1. BMLS, BSc in Laboratory sciences or related field with 1-2 years post national youth service experience in provision of laboratory support for HIV/AIDS. 
  2. Knowledge of basic laboratory procedures, diagnosis and management related to HIV/AIDS care and treatment is required with some experience in an international development area preferred. 
  3. Knowledge of laboratory data management, use of data management software and other advanced programs. 
  4. Proficient in Microsoft office applications ( MS word, Excel, Power point etc)
