The management of Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Keffi, Nasarawa State in collaboration with the Doctors on the move Africa and Z.K Health Consult Limited said, it would offer free surgeries to over 110 patients with different ailments.
The medical director of the Centre, Dr Joshua Gyan, made this known yesterday, while speaking with newsmen during the opening ceremony of the free surgeries in Keffi, Keffi local government area of the state.
Dr Gyan, said that the gesture was part of the centre’s commitment to assist the needy in order to improve on their health and standard of living for the overall development of the country.
According to him, “At the beginning of the surgeries today, 30 of the patients have been successful operated out of the expected over 110 patients.
He added that the surgeries were carried out on patients with health challenges such as Hernia, cataract, prostrate problem, lumps on the body, hydrocele and fibroid among others.
“As you can see, their tests and drugs will be administered and given to the beneficiaries free of charge and everything we are doing to them will also be of free of charge.
The CMD, called on the people of the state and Nigerians to always give adequate attention to their health by going for regular medical checkup, adding that a healthy nation is a wealthy nation.
