RE: UNITED STATES FOR FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION APPROVES KYMRIAH CELL THERAPY FOR TREATMENT OF CANCER
The Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation has written to inform the Ministry that the Swiss Pharmaceutical Company, Novartis had on 1st May, 2018 in Basel disclosed that the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved its Kymriah cell therapy for treatment of patients with large B-Cell Lymphoma and as a one (1) time treatment for acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, the most common childhood cancer in the United States (copy attached).
2. You are to bring the contents of this circular to all relevant department in your hospital for their information and necessary action.
