Niger State governor , Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello has pledged the support of Niger State government to FMC Bida for enhanced delivery of quality tertiary healthcare services even as he approved N25 million for the oxygen plant.
The governor gave the assurance when the new board of management of the centre led by its Chairman, Is’haq Usman Sarkin Shanun Jere paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House, Minna at the weekend.
The governor underscored the significance of collaboration between the state government and the federal tertiary health institution, which he described as a regional hospital because it was serving not only Niger state but also communities from four neighboring states of Kaduna, Kogi, Kwara and Kebbi and the FCT.
While attributing it to the excellent services being rendered at FMC Bida, he assured the Board that the state government would look into their request for improved support to the centre, especially for the development of the permanent site, to compliment the efforts of the federal government towards quality healthcare delivery to Nigerians.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman of the Board assured the governor that the Board would work assiduously to justify Mr. President’s confidence and ensure that the centre becomes the best in Nigeria. He also thanked the governor for signing the C-of-O for the permanent site and approving N25 million for the repair of its Oxygen Plant.
