Implement Health Act to Sanitise Sector, NMA Tells FG

The Enugu State House of Assembly on Tuesday approved the appointment of 15 special advisers and personal assistants for Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
 
The approval of the 15 nominees given at the plenary shortly after the Speaker, Edward Ubosi, read the message brought to the Assembly by the governor for consideration. Ubosi said Ugwuanyi urged the Assembly members to approve the appointment of the special advisers to enable him discharge his duties.
 
The leader of the House, Ikechukwu Ezeugwu, moved the motion for the acceptance and consideration of the governor’s request and urged his colleagues to honour it. He moved the motion for the House to approve the appointment of 15 special advisers while his deputy, Mrs Onyinye Ugwu, seconded the motion.
 
The speaker also set up a committee for the selection of the heads of the House standing committees. The committee was given one week to submit its report, while the Assembly adjourned till Tuesday, July 2.
