International Committee of the Red Cross Field Officer (First Aider) Vacancies

The International committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) jos sub delegation is looking for qualified candidates with the capacity to fill in the following interesting position: FIELD OFFICER

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

In close collaboration with the first aid responsible abuja, is the focal person for the first aid activities,under the management of jos sub delegation.

- Assist the delegate in running field activities for emergency interventions, communication and networking activities

- contributes to the implementation and running of specific projects/ programmes and the analysis of the situation

- Maintains contacts with beneficiaries, civil society actors, local red cross, branches concerning their particalar programs population suppliers etc under supervision

- Makers writen reporting on the activities undertaken including the collection os statiscal data

- collects informatiion on the situation in the field and reports to the delegate

- plans and organises filed trips to follow up on activities in the field

- Assist in health related activitites as requested including distribution of emergency medical supplies

- Acts as an interpreter in any situation with accuracy

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- University degree in relevant field

- FIRST AID KNOWLEDGE WITH A VALID FIRST AID CERTIFICATE (CLICK HERE TO REGISTER FOR A FIRST AID COURSE)

- 2 years work experience

- good command of written and spoken English

- Good computer skills, good command of standard software and knowledge of internet search

- Capacity ot apply ICRC rules and procedure

- Capacity of treating information condifentialy
